No Coal Seam Gas Mining in Sydney 2011

The following photos were taken 18th September 2011 when thousands gathered for a rally in Camperdown Park, Sydney then marched along King Street to protest Dart Energy's proposal to mine in St Peters.

On October 16th, 2011 protests were held across Australia against coal seam gas mining in the largest series of demonstrations ever held in one day. One of the protests was held in Martin Place Sydney where the following photos were taken.

These next photos show the handover of a petition with 10,000 signatures calling for a moratorium on Coal Seam Gas mining on November 22nd 2011. Anti-CSG supporters gathered Hyde Park, Sydney to march on NSW Parliament House in Macquarie Street where they waited for parliamentarians to accept the petition.

On 27/11/2011 some members of No CSG Sydney staged a pop up protest during the Renovators TV show auction in Addison Road less than 2 km from the proposed mine in St Peters.
